Beef Ramen Made Easy

Ramen is a Japanese noodle dish made out of wheat noodles served in a meat or seafood based soup, often flavoured with soy sauce or miso then topped with different ingredients ranging from sliced meats, dried seaweed, kamaboko, green onions, pickled bamboo, wood ear fungus and occasionally corn. It became popular in Japan in the late 1800’s. Today, true ramen can be only found in Japanese restaurants. Believe me, you have to try the real one! It is really good and very comforting.

Beef Topping Ingredients

  • 100g beef (prepared with 1 tsp sake & soy sauce + 2 tsp flour)
  • 20g green onion (white part)
  • 20g carrots
  • 50g cabbage
  • 4 shitake mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp miso
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt / pepper

Soup Ingredients

  • 400ml dashi stock or you can use chicken stock
  • 1 tsp ~ grated garlic
  • 1 tsp ~ grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • A little sesame oil
  • Green onion

Add Soft Boiled Egg and Serve! Enjoy!
